July Fourth is just around the corner and it’s our BerryBerry Patriotic waffle’s favorite time of year! Our most celebratory flavor tips its hat off to everything we love about America.  Proudly made in the USA, our Belgian waffles with an American twist are a perfect anytime, anywhere treat. To make your holiday shine as bright as the fireworks, we’ve created a BerryBerry Patriotic dessert that will leave you and your guests oohing and ahhing!

Below is an easy step-by-step guide to make our delicious BerryBerry Patriotic waffle pops!

Step 1: Go to Walmart and buy yourself a box (or two or three) of BerryBerry Patriotic Waffles!

Step 2: Let your BerryBerry Patriotic waffles thaw.  This will make it easier to create the crumble. We suggest using 6 waffles for this!

Step 3: Crumble your waffles, making sure no large chunks are left. An electric mixer or your hands will do just fine. If you have kids this can be a fun way to get them to help in the kitchen!

Step 4: Mix the crumbs with your favorite frosting flavor (we used whipped vanilla!). You want the finished mixture to look almost like dough. We used 6 oz. of frosting for this, about half a tub.

Step 5: Create little balls using the crumb mixture. We recommend about a 1 inch ball for the waffle pops. This yields about 21 waffle pops.

Step 6: Place the balls on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper and freeze for up to 10 minutes.  This will make ensure the balls don’t fall apart when you dip them into the chocolate.

Step 7: Melt white chocolate. Microwave the chocolate in 30 second intervals, making sure you stir the chocolate each time.

Step 8: Dunk the waffle pops into the melted chocolate. Use a fork or spoon to smother the balls in the chocolate & help fish out the pops once they are completely coated. Put them on a cookie sheet with parchment paper to harden. Optional: add sprinkles or other decorations, making sure to apply before the chocolate gets hard.
