It’s spooky, it’s sweet, and it’s oh so easy to make!  It’s WaffleWaffle bark!  The treat that’ll keep your trick-or-treaters coming back every year.  We’ve taken the classic chocolate bark recipe and put a little WaffleWaffle remix to it and boy was it amazing!

Here are the ingredients you’ll need:

  • Buttery Vanilla Waffles
  • Two 12 oz bags of semi sweet chocolate chips
  • Kit-Kats
  • Reese’s Pieces
  • Candy Corn
  • Candy Eyes

In a double boiler, melt two 12oz bags of semi sweet chocolate chips.  Don’t like semi-sweet?  Feel free to use your favorite type of chocolate.  When using a double boiler, make sure the bowl on top does not touch the boiling water in the saucepan to avoid burning the chocolate.  If the chocolate burns that means no WaffleWaffle bark; and that might be more terrifying than the scary monsters on Halloween!  Allow the steam from the bottom pan to fully melt the chocolate until it is silky and smooth.  Pour it out onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.  Be sure to not spread the chocolate too thin or your bark will be too frail. Now it’s time for the fun part! Before the chocolate hardens, sprinkle your favorite toppings on your bark, and don’t forget the lots of WaffleWaffles!  We used a generous amount of Kit-Kat bars, Reeses Pieces, the classic Candy Corn, our Buttery Vanilla waffles and some edible eyes.  Of course, choose the candies you like and pair it with your favorite WaffleWaffle flavor.

Let the bark cool in the refrigerator for up to 4 hours until it’s completely hardened.  After those 4 long hours are up, it’s finally time to break the bark up.  Make the pieces as big, or as little, as you would like and voila!  WaffleWaffle bark fit for the spookiest of monsters.
